SFGA EMS

IAEP Local 80

What is "SFGA EMS?"

"SFGA EMS" is a service provided by International Association of EMTs and Paramedics (IAEP) Local 80 to amusement parks in the northeast.

We currently provide emergency medical services to Six Flags Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor NJ. We provide guests of these parks with basic life saving care, including transportation to the nearest appropriate facility based upon their injury, illness, and employment status.

Our Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) specialize in providing emergency medical care in complex, fast-moving, amusement and entertainment complexes. This includes navigating large crowds, climbing to great heights, and providing care under intense circumstances.

What is IAEP Local 80?

IAEP Local 80 is a collective bargaining organization that was formed in 2019 in response to unfair labor conditions at Six Flags Great Adventure. The organization successfully negotiated their first agreement with Six Flags in 2019, and recently completed their second agreement in 2022.

IAEP Local 80 is composed of over a dozen EMTs with a range of experience levels, skills, and hobbies. Our members prioritize the uptmost proffesionalism, even when faced with extremly challenging circumstances due to the nature of their work environment.
